Summer Boarding School at BohemianGarden Bornholm. Study & Relax in the Beautiful Nature!

From the summer of August 2025 you can experience Bornholm when the island is at its best!

Stay at BohemianGarden in Glamping Tents – and participate in Summer Boarding Modules at the Sexologist & RelationshipTherapist Educations. Ans from 2026 the Specialist Educations will start too on Bornholm!

We call it self-indulgence & enjoyment of life – being able to study – while you live in the middle of nature, surrounded only by fields and forests & 97 m. above sea level!

Between fields and forests lies BohemianGarden. 19,999 m2 of natural land, in the middle of nature. The red half-timbered farm dates from 1780. The 4-lane farm is gradually being converted into a retreat and educational oasis. The restauration will take place over the next 5 years.
June 1, 2021, the Sexologiskolen/ IAS bought the site and immediately named it “BohemianGarden”.
In 2022, we ran the first Tantra Island Camp.
In 2023, we welcomed guests from the whole world to Glamping.
In 2024, we hosted the World Packers; Young people from all over the world.
In 2025, the Summer Boarding Modules will start for our Nordic & Global Sexology & RelationshipTherapy students.

Welcome to BohemianGarden!

From August 2025 there will be Summer Boarding Modules at BohemianGarden, for Sexology- & RelationshipTherapy Students from all over the world!

For each of the main Programs, Sexologist & RelationshipTherapist, 1-2 out of the 13 modules of each education, are Boarding Modules on Bornholm. Boarding & lodging are for teams starting in 2025, included in the education price.

The boarding is a welcome chance to take the Modules out into nature, get to know each other well, build strong networks & relationships while enjoying nature.

Sexologist (teams starting September/October 2024) has a Boarding module in August 2025.
RelationshipTherapist (teams starting April/May 2024) has a Boarding module in August 2025.
Everyone lives in Glamping tents with 4-6 people in each. It is also possible to bring your own tent & sleeping bag. All meals are vegetarian.
Enjoy the extremely clean & energetic Bornholm water for meals. Drinks and snacks can also be purchased on site.
Meals & overnight stay in Glamping Tents, are for all teams in Aug. 2025 included in the education price.

For the sake of greater planning, we ask all students to sign up by June 1st whether they will participate in the Boarding School at BohemianGarden or participate in the classes online. This will be announced in the Student FB Groups.

RelationshipTherapist (class starting April/May 2025) has a Summer Boarding Module (week 32) 4 – 7 August 2025, Monday-Thursday.
Teaching 5-7.8. Day 1 & 2 9:00-17:00 approx. Day 3 8:00-14:00 approx.
- Check-in Monday between 20:00 and 21:00. Possibility of pick-up at the ferry Rønne arriving at 19:50. Arrival Day: Check-in, evening coffee, orientation & mingling.
- Check-out + sandwich, Thursday between 18:00 and 19:00. Possibility of driving to the ferry sailing at 20:30. (departure BohemianGarden at 19:00)
Teaching: Day 1 & 2 9:00-17:00. Day 3 at 9:00-13:00.
Sexologist (class starting September/October 2024) has a Summer Boarding Module (week 32) 7 – 10 August 2025, Thursday-Sunday.
Teaching 8-10.8. Day 1 & 2 at 9:00-17:00 approx. Day 3 at 8:00-14:00 approx.
- Check-in on Thursday between 20:00 and 21:00. Possibility of pick-up at the ferry Rønne arriving at 19:50. Arrival Day: Check-in, evening coffee, orientation & mingling.
- Check-out + sandwich, Thursday between 18:00 and 19:00. Possibility of driving to the ferry sailing at 20:30. (departure BohemianGarden at 19:00).

All students live in Glamping tents with 4-6 people in each. Tents are 20-24 m2.
It is also possible to bring your own tent & sleeping bag. You are also welcome to stay elsewhere on Bornholm and just join to classes and possibly meals.
All meals are vegetarian. If you are vegan, you are welcome to bring your own food and prepare it in the kitchen by previous arrangement. PS. Only possible if you are vegan. Otherwise, the kitchen is only for staff.
You can enjoy the amazingly pure & energetic Bornholm Water for meals. Drinks & snacks can also be purchased on site.
The meals & accommodation in Glamping Tents with beds & bedding, at the Dormitories, are in 2025 incl. the education price.
It is not allowed to smoke or light a fire at the camp.
Packing list will be provided no later than 14 days before.
If you arrive by car, bicycle, motorcycle, there is parking right at the camp.
The classes & meals take place in large tents with tables & benches.
There are two toilet- & bath trailers at the camp.
Bring your own towel, preferably a thick sweater and practical footwear.
We recommend that you bring your bike. We can transport it on a trailer, unless you wish to cycle in the beautiful Bonholm nature, from the ferry to Østermarie (26 km. = 1 hr. and 25 min. by bike)

All students live in Glamping tents of 20 m2 and 2 tents of 24 m2. with 4-6 people in each. It is also possible to bring your own tent & sleeping bag.

NEWS: If you are also studying Specialist Education, look forward to 2026, when several of the Specialist Education programs. Especially those Specialist Education, which contain many physical exercises, will be running whole weeks on Bornholm!

Go for a swim at Dueodde beach (just nominated as the world’s 12th best beach!), after the class!

If you study both Main Educations; Sexologist & RelationshipTherapist – as most do, you can look forward to a whole week of study & cozy time on Bornholm at BohemianGarden 🙂

There are many beautiful & interesting places on Bornholm – so you just have to choose how you want to spend the afternoon/evening!

We often light a bonfire in the evening, and if you have a guitar or other instrument – feel free to bring it!

At Week 32 BohemianGarden, you will live with 4-6 people in large Glamping tents, which are originally for 10-12 people.

The Glamping tent is furnished with blankets, lights, beds & bedding.

The meals are all vegetarian.

If you would like to stay somewhere other than BohemianGarden and attend classes alone or take meals on a private basis, that is absolutely OK. Just let us know when we are approaching week 32.

From 2026: If you would like to live alone – and you are coming by car, you can book our small townhouse in Rønne, Nellikegade 4, with space for 6 people from 2026.

Travel Information

– no matter how you travel – remember to book both accommodation & transport well in advance. Bornholm is a popular island & a sought-after holiday destination!

You can get to Bornholm in several ways:

Bus/ Ferry: Copenhagen to or from Rønne. Including Kombardo Expressen. Price example 1.7.24 one way. Ystad-Rønne. One person from DKK 139. Incl. bike from DKK 199 (you can also travel from Køge to Rønne).
Bicycle/ Ferry: Ystad to or from Rønne. Including Bornholmslinjen. 1.7.24 one way. One person from DKK 149. Incl. bike from DKK 175.
Own Car/ Ferry: Ystad to or from Rønne. Including Bornholmslinjen. Price example 1.7.24 one way. 2 people with regular car from DKK 199.
Plane: Copenhagen Kastrup Airport to or from Rønne Airport DAT Price example 1.7.24 one way from DKK 479.

Around Bornholm – and to/ from BohemianGarden Kirkeskolevej 7, 3751 Østermarie

From/ to the Ferry in Rønne or Bornholm Airport take Bus 3 or 4 to Østermarie Church. Approx. 38 min. Slightly longer time from/ to the Airport. From/ to Østermarie Church it is 1.3 km. 16 min. on foot.

Rent a bike – get exercise and get around easily on Bornholm!

When you need to get around Bornholm we recommend that you rent a bike, if you don’t already have one yourself.
You can rent bikes in several places on the island. including Bornholms Cykeludlejning Rønne

GOOD TO KNOW

BohemianGarden: Address Kirkeskolevej 97, 3751 Østermarie

Located 97 m. above sea level.
Nature is rich in flora & fauna. You can often see forget-me-nots, cranes, fallow deer and hares.
The household at BohemianGarden includes 2 female dogs, Irish setters; Deivaah & Zooiy. They are very sweet and loved by both adults & children!
Smoking or candles are not allowed in the tents or in the park.
Since we are in nature with terrain differences, BohemianGarden is unfortunately not suitable if you have very difficulty walking or are in a wheelchair.
It is not allowed to light a grill or bonfire on the site.
Pets are not allowed.
Music is allowed, as long as there is reasonable quiet from 11:00 p.m.

FACILITIES & FRAMES

There are toilet- & shower trailers on the site.
There is a parking space for cars, motorcycles & bicycles on the field at the entrance to BohemianGarden.
In the Dining Tent in the garden, there is also a refrigerator, which you can store e.g. drinks in.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to cook at BohemianGarden, as we use the kitchen to prepare the meals ourselves.
In the Dining Tent you will also find a Router with free WiFi access.
At the Dining Tent you will find a water fountain where you can fill your drinking bottle with wonderfully clean Bornholm water.

EXCURSIONS & PLACES ON BORNHOLM

Bornholm is a fantastic island – and here are many gems & good excursion opportunities, both when it comes to nature & culture. We mention some here:

EXPRESS 5 – BORNHOLMSLINJEN – Verdens største Katamaranfærge! >>>>>

Målt på 1610 passagerer og 451 biler er BORNHOLMSLINJENs hurtigfærge, Express 5, den største katamaranfærge i verden. Hurtigfærgen er bygget i Filippinerne på Austal-værftet i Cebu og blev i april 2023 indsat på ruten mellem Rønne og Ystad. Gennemgående for designet er samspillet mellem komfort og effektivitet for at sikre en komfortabel og hurtig overfart.
